duotone image

today's class assignment was to create a duotone image through photoshop using tutorials. my approach to this assignment was to take a photo i had already taken in san francisco's japanese tea garden back in march. i followed the first tutorial to edit my image in photoshop, select 'gradient map' and select the two colors I wanted to make my image. I chose the colors light rose pink and light cream blue. I love these colors and thought it would make the image very soft and cartoon looking. Here is my before and after-

i really like the way this turned out because it is nonrealistic and unique, as well as having two of my favorite colors :)
